ABOUT US
The Arab Organisation of Diplomacy (AOD) is the first organisation of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa combining:
(I) a Think Tank, (II) a network of experts and youth workers, (III) an academic Initiative, and (V) a civil society nonprofit association.
Our work is based on the Cultural Diplomacy approach and its tools among youth to enhance mutual understanding, build bridges of peaceful dialogue and improve communication between cultures that lead to cooperation, peace and comprehensive development through international cultural exchanges, exhibitions, academic cooperation and participation in conferences and social activities.
OUR MISSION
We are committed and dedicated to building a culture of peace and diplomacy and building a mindset of conflict prevention and conflict transformation through the development, implementation, and support of evidence-based, multidisciplinary and innovative approaches to diplomacy and peace education, intercultural dialogue, conflict prevention and transformation, academic research, supporting human rights, human dignity and the rule of law. As such, we support the international policy recommendations emphasized in the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2250 (2015), 2419 (2018), and 2535 (2020) on Youth, Peace, and Security.
OUR VISION
Our goal is to develop future generations with advanced diplomatic Capacities and to support them to grow their careers through Cultural and Public Diplomacy by equipping young people with the knowledge, critical thinking and analyzing capacities; endorsing multidimensional and academic perspectives; fostering the role of youth in politics and dialogues in peacemaking; and promoting a nuanced understanding of World politics and international development. As such, we support the United Nations Secretary-General’s Plan of Action on Preventing Violent Extremism and other international efforts towards building a culture of peace and diplomacy.
OUR STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK
ACADEMIC RESEARCH
Throughout all activities and programs, we encourage and support the extensive and intensive interdisciplinary and intersectionally academic research of all members. Academic research is therefore an integrated tool in all our carried our events. Researches (articles, studies, issue papers, and policy analysis) are continuously conducted and shared with the international respective stakeholders.
INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANCY
With the enormous knowledge and experience of our staff and members in the Euro-Mediterranean social, cultural, and political landscape we have unique and evidence-based expertise in various issues such as conflict analysis and, youth empowerment, Peacebuilding, and social resilience. Upon inquiry, we cooperate with other organisations and institutions to help them with the realisation of their projects and activities.
PRACTICAL TRAINING
Our training programs and activities are designed and implemented drawn on evidence-based, results-based, hands-on interactive exercises, cutting-edge research, and best practices in the fields of diplomacy, peacebuilding, conflict analysis and conflict transformation, intercultural dialogue, critical thinking and management, activism, social engagement and empowerment, as well as monitoring and evaluation.
PUBLIC ADVOCACY
We work with a broad target audience with the aim of promoting and raising awareness of human rights and the prevalence of cultural diplomacy. We also support various and diverse media campaigns in cooperation with social, civil, political organisations and institutions, as well as with journalists and activists to ensure the successful promotion and delivery of international messages and issues in their right contexts.
MEMBERSHIP
Members are the spirit and pride of AOD. Together we build an extensive and international network where we share common goals for a better future. The Membership is open for all people from any field of study and at any age.

We have a very unique active team. Therefore, we are glad to provide our Members with a wide-ranging schedule of activities, conferences, trainings, and events. Most of our activities are only for our members.
