Privacy Policy

The Protection of Personal Data of our Website Visitors is important to AOD. We are committed to safeguarding such data in accordance with the applicable laws, as exemplified throughout this Declaration.

This Data Protection Policy Declaration does not extend to third-party websites that may be accessed via links disclosed at this Website. Accordingly, AOD is not legally responsible for the privacy practices used at those websites.

Personal Data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Data Subject”). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by their name, an identification number, location data, or an online identifier. Such a person is also one who can be identified based on the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity.

AOD collects and processes Personal Data of the Data Subjects in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, as illustrated by this Declaration.

AOD collects and processes Personal Data related to its Website only for the purpose of facilitating the use of this Website and the contact preferences of the Data Subjects. The Personal Data obtained through this Website is not used for any individual evaluations.

AOD reserves the right to evaluate pseudonymous or anonymized datasets. These can be used for the purpose of system security. These can also be used for the need of running statistics (considering the number of users, page views, etc.), and thus to improve the functioning of this Website.

AOD will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information related to the Data Subjects. It will store all the personal data on its secure servers.

Like many site operators, AOD collects information that Data Subjects’ browsers send whenever they visit our Website (so-called “Log Data”). This Log Data may include, but are not limited to, information such as the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, browser version, navigation through this Website, time and date of the visit, as well as the time spent on individual pages.

The information is stored and used internally only for website traffic analysis. In the cases where this data is not evaluated, it will be deleted immediately after the end of a session. If the Data Subjects provide unique identifying information on forms displayed by this Website (for example, related to their name, or address), it will be used only for statistical purposes, and will not be published for general access.

AOD reserves the right to disclose information directly received from and about the Data Subjects to any of our staff members, employees, officers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors, as well that obtained by our website analytics to conduct an internal website traffic analysis by them, insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this Data Protection Policy Declaration.

In addition, AOD may disclose such personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and to any person who we reasonably believe may apply to a court or other competent authority for disclosure of that personal information where, in our reasonable opinion, such court or authority would be reasonably likely to order disclosure of that personal information.

Except as provided in this Data Protection Policy Declaration, AOD will not provide personal information about the Data Subjects to third parties.

Data Subjects who reside in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), are entitled to exercise data protection rights. In certain circumstances, in accordance with the applicable laws and the AOD policy, the Data Subjects have the following data protection rights:

1. The Right of Access. The right to obtain from AOD the confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning the Data Subject are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the information such as the purpose of the processing, categories of the processed data, and the recipients of such data.

2. The Right to Rectification. The right to obtain from AOD the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning the Data Subject (i.e. right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement).

3. The Right to Erasure (“Right to Be Forgotten”). The right to obtain from AOD the erasure of personal data concerning the Data Subject in the circumstances where the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected.

4. The Right to Data Portability. The right to receive the personal data concerning the Data Subject, which he or she has provided to AOD, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to which the personal data have been provided.

AOD may update this Data Protection Policy Declaration if that would be required under the applicable laws. The Data Subjects are therefore advised to consult this page occasionally to ensure they are familiar with the Policy.
